Why This Conversation

Racial division exists in our world but this is not a part of God’s plan. In fact, racial division hinders our work as witnesses of the Gospel.

Pursue Grace is inspired by the call throughout the book of Acts to spread the gospel “to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).  As Christianity was introduced, new Christians found themselves fighting against differences that threatened to disqualify non-Jews of the salvation that Jesus had promised. It turns out that ethnic, racial, or cultural differences are no match for the grace of God that is available “for all who are far off - for all whom the Lord our God will call” (Acts 2:39).

This message is essential for Christians to consider today. It serves to remind us that since salvation is available for all and we are the witnesses that will lead lost people to know of our Savior, we cannot afford to ignore or oppress people groups that differ from our own.  We must “finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given us - the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace” (Acts 20:24).

Who Should Come

This seminar is designed for anyone interested in discussing the problematic topic of racial division within our churches and communities. This may include church groups, church leadership, and/or all individuals who wonder how they can be a part of breaking down racial barriers and moving toward racial reconciliation through grace.
